to borrow from Matt Christman’s review, I love all the “moral confusion” and how we don’t get any easy answers. Honestly probably the worst movie to rewatch when you’re already feeling anxious on a Sunday night.
A perfect summer holiday rewatch! This movie is somehow so wholesome but also so heartbreaking. The outdoor locations are so great and I love all the train track stuff. This is also maybe the only movie where the “where are they now” scene works so well.. the sad reality that you and your childhood friends just drift apart. ALSO - I love that they include the fireside “Lard Ass” story... feels so Stephen King.. I wonder if it’s in the short story. And finally, who doesn’t love to say “do you guys wanna go see a dead body?”
