We're All Going to the World's Fair

We're All Going to the World's Fair ★★★

I was going to rate this lower but then found I didn't actually dislike the film, it was just very against my expectations. This shouldn't be advertised as horror at all—I expected I'd be terrified but there's nothing truly creepy about this. Instead, it is a painfully real exploration of loneliness within Internet culture and that was done quite well. It was weirdly comforting at times, especially towards the start, though that may have been because of the ASMR scene (almost fell asleep myself). I wish the characters had been written better but I love the settings! This is definitely for a specific group of people and I'm glad I could appreciate it just enough.
