Lynch’s Mulholland Drive is an actual masterpiece. I cannot stop thinking about the part where Betty catches Adam’s eye. Everything you knew in the first and second act completely changes and it transforms into a gigantic jigsaw of a film, with easter eggs and symbolism scattered throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this film, and I cannot believe I had never seen this before.
(Also a day before I watched Maya Deren’s Meshes of the Afternoon and I could not believe the similarities...what a coincidence)
