  David Fincher explores anxiety inside out and backwards.
  He takes everything you think you know about an archetype and uses it against you so you have an idea of what’s coming, but can never get the full picture. The second you get comfortable in a narrative he twists it. The second you feel safe he purposefully ruins it.
