jojo really let a dictator live in his mind rent free.
wish i’d liked this more but it was still alright. it doesn’t necessarily handle its tonal shifts so well as taika’s previous movies but then again they were more personal stories and unabashedly suited to taika’s voice while in here there is a barrier that left me disconnected to really care about the emotional or comedic beats so strongly. it doesn’t have the sharp teeth to be the satire it believe it is as rarely does it ever dare to venture further beyond the lines of centrism, which is quite frustrating and confusing considering we’re dealing with fucking nazis here but anyway archie yates >>> all the supporting actor oscar nominees what do i have to do to adopt him as my little brother.
