Melissa McDowell’s review published on Letterboxd :
The animation is incredible in this film - the sequences where everything is breaking apart and surreal and unsettling are such phenomenal metaphors for wartime and conflict. I knew nothing about Kapuscinski going into this film but I’ve added his Another Day of Life book on the Angolan War to my to-read list. War reporters are a fascinating breed. The film raises some interesting issues around whether the presence of journalists impacts the course of conflicts, and how partisanship or ideology might affect reporting. Go for the visuals, stay for the story.
