Melissa McDowell’s review published on Letterboxd :
A triptych, each piece a slice of life of a woman and her issues with connection. Laura Dern as a lawyer with a needy client who refuses to listen to her but demands her constant attention. Michelle Williams as a wife and mother becoming increasingly distant and disconnected from her husband and daughter. Lily Gladstone as a heartbreakingly lonely and isolated woman reaching out to Kristen Stewart. I was very taken with how this was filmed - vast sprawling personless landscapes juxtaposed against shots of our leads separated from other people in the scenes by framing through doorways and windows. A quiet film. More tonal, atmospheric and emotionally driven than dialogue-focused. Interested to see more from Reichardt.
