Melissa McDowell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Some wonderfully creepy atmospherics and great performances (especially from Lupita, Elizabeth, and Shahadi). I love the premise: that we are our own worst enemy, that the US’s biggest threat is not external but internal and is based on their treatment of people. Where things fell down for me was in the explanation of the tethered. I don’t think we needed this - first, because the mystery would have been just fine; and second, because having a character tell us the story is never as effective as showing it. There were too many things that didn’t quite make sense. Still a fun and creepy watch.
