    His House

Really spooky and lovely and sad and I felt all the feels. Loved it!

    Do the Right Thing

The first time I watched this movie it didn’t really make an impact but every now and a gain, I would think back on it. I would think back on the pizza store owner and his complacency. His lack of standing up for those kids he knew to be good kids. It’s such a loud cymbal crash when you finally figure out this movie. I’m sure if you were to watch it today, you’d get it right away. It’s very timely now. It transcends any specific time unfortunately because this shit is still happening.

    Ready or Not

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I liked it and I would have given it more stars but it was super rude by vilifying satanists. Also they really missed the mark casting a beautiful blonde white lady for the role that’s supposed to symbolize taking down the elite. Fuck that! You know what? I’ve talked myself into giving it less stars now.

  • Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Portrait of a Lady on Fire

I thought it dragged a little bit during the second act but the third act was so incredible it made up for it completely!

  • Honeyland

Ancient bee keeping techniques in Macedonia. But it was also a fly on the wall type of doc that caught some pretty poignant moments that caught me off guard. Very well done!

  • The Invisible Guest

    The Invisible Guest

Chugged a long but I was souped happy with it by the end!

  • Persona

This is my favorite Bergman movie and made me feel all the pain/anguish/power/hypocrisy/double standards/uncertainty/mothering/protective feels of being a woman.

  • The Red Balloon

    The Red Balloon

Sweet, classic short film. Must see if you like movies.

  • The Seventh Seal

    The Seventh Seal

As an no atheist, I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH. It speaks to me on a spiritual and absurdist levels. My second favorite Bergman movie!

  • Stand by Me

    Stand by Me

I rented this movie from my local Hollywood Video when I was a kid WAY TOO MUCH. And in the way where I probably paid 10 times the amount it was worth in rental fees. Wth clerk jerk at the Hollywood Video on Palm Ave in San Diego?? Anyway -childhood favorite so not sure if actually good.

  • Road House

    Road House

Fun over the top 80s macho movie with some surprising lines I’ll never forget and never want to repeat.

    Spirited Away

    Touching and magical!
