Wow, this is something else! Willem Dafoe at the top of his game in this masterpiece. The penthouse as a prison and as an allegory for man on earth and his relationship to art. At least, that's how I read it. And the art becomes a character and in a way becomes the protagonist.
Apart from that, it is a very good film, showing very ingeniously what a man does to survive. Full of metaphors and symbolism if you want to see it. Fantastic! Wanna see it again now and pay even more attention to the artworks.
