The Forgotten Battle

The Forgotten Battle ★★★½

Dutch film about a crucial battle set in september 1944, months after D-Day. A pretty straight forward but intense story, that of course really happened and cost thousands of lives. It all looked incredible. The art direction is amazing and the cinematography is damn good, but somehow it didn't grab me all the way. I'm guessing it's because of the moderate acting of some actors. Or is it the director? Or the chaotic beginning? Oh well, I'm already happy to see some new faces in a Dutch movie and not the actors that are in almost every Dutch film. And again, it looked incredible.
