Perfect dream logic movie that has no right to exist or be this good. Pretty much everything that tried to imitate this vibe in the 2000s was too saccharine and twee but here you get real scumbag John Cusack, the master Cameron Diaz, an insanely sexy and cool Catherine Keener, and of course, Johnny himself in a role he by all accounts should never have taken on but works so beautifully in. Bursting with ideas and incredibly funny.

Less fun than either of Castellari's Bronx movies, but this does feature the main character driving around in a vehicle that looks like Homer's ideal car, Fred Williamson wearing a silly headband and blowing people's heads up with exploding arrows, and a gay death cult in huge shoulder pads that goes around "punishing people for the crime of being alive" and wants to kill everyone and then themselves. Oh and the hero kills the villain by using a drill on his car ,designed by a six year old, to punch through his seat and into his butt which then makes him crash his vehicle and explode.

"I put a Duran Duran record on backward. You know what happened? Nothing!"

Everything about this is a lot of fun except for the extremely stupid and gross rape scene but I guess that kind of thing is the price you pay for getting a really silly 16mm horror movie from the 80s with a bunch of no-name actors that feels like a bunch of pals just having a goofy time together.
