We're All Going to the World's Fair

We're All Going to the World's Fair ★★½

It’s just really sad for me to say that I didn’t dig this as much as I wanted to even after the haunting Anna Cobb performance - that dancing scene just left me speechless - and the marvelous Alex G score. It just doesn’t build up enough to shake the short movie energy the whole premise seems to play with. It is ethereal and hollow yet unpleasant like laying on the shore facing the sky with your eyes closed while expecting the tide to eventually rise, bathe you and leave you wondering if, one day, it could carry you away, only to never feel it past your feet.
