Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III

    ★★

Why did they pull a Rambo with the title here? Not only is it less marketable, Leatherface doesn't even have much more of a role than the previous films, less maybe.

After the mixed reaction to TCSM 2, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III goes back to the grimey horror roots. It ends up feeling like any other generic slasher of the time unfortunately. An interesting dissection of what goes wrong with super-amateur film making. Think Hearts of Darkness for the zero budget sector.
