Why did they pull a Rambo with the title here? Not only is it less marketable, Leatherface doesn't even have much more of a role than the previous films, less maybe.
After the mixed reaction to TCSM 2, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III goes back to the grimey horror roots. It ends up feeling like any other generic slasher of the time unfortunately. There isn't enough personality or creativity to make it stand out. Even the heavily altered Sawyer clan feel like knock offs. At least we have Ken Foree, though he isn't around too much.
