Michael LeBoeuf’s review published on Letterboxd:
For a guy who claims he doesn’t care what Twitter thinks the dude spent 55 minutes of his special talking about why he isn’t the things people online say about it. Jesus this barely was a comedy special. It’s not that what he said was “offensive” he just spends the whole fish darn special giving very specific examples as to why he’s not and complaining about the reception he gets. Nothing he is saying is “brave”. It’s insecurity. You can feel the way he crafts lines as if he’s already thinking about the comment section online. Then concludes the set the same way he concluded one of his previous specials, by telling the story about how the one trans person he knew said his jokes were ok so that means it’s all good. And I’m not in a position to say one way or the other on these things. I found the whole thing to be lazy.
