The only thing that irked me was the narrator. Even the beginning and end scene would be fine without any narration.
Otherwise I loved everything about this.
YOU CAN'T APPARATE ON HOGWARTS GROUNDS!
The absolutely worst.
I mean I get that it's all about beasts for some dumb reason, but at least give me a plot that makes sense. Don't just use a stupid animal as a plot device and make the whole wizarding world look like puppets who can't think for themselves.
Half star for all the good actors.
Please stop trying to make Harry Potter into the MCU.
I still remember the first time I saw Bright Star in the cinema... it was a world-changing movie experience for me.
Twelve years later we finally got some more Campion and it didn't disappoint. Sure, it's very different from Bright Star but I'm glad it is.
Also, it's no Brokeback Mountain, however much the media wants it to be.
It's a movie filled with symbolism, sadness and frustration. Yet, it also celebrates the small, beautiful moments in life.
The more I think about it, the better it gets.
