• The King and I

    The King and I

Besides the problematic aspects that are inherent to the source material and a few casting choices that were inappropriate to say the least, I really enjoyed this. The King and I has possibly my favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein score, the film was visually stunning, and Deborah Kerr and Yul Brynner have great chemistry.

    Lullaby of Broadway

Cute and entertaining but pretty forgettable. On par with Tea for Two, which had the same director and several of the same cast members.

  • Alice Adams

    Alice Adams

Katharine Hepburn was wonderful as always, but everything else about this movie was pretty dull in comparison. I feel like a lot of the plotlines and scenes in this would have worked better with more of a comedic tone. There were far too many moments where I couldn't tell whether I was meant to laugh or not.

  • Pillow Talk

    Pillow Talk

I had sort of low expectations for this but I ended up really loving it! Definitely my favorite of the Doris Day/Rock Hudson films. Of course there's a few moments that haven't aged well, but overall this was really cute and funny! My favorite scene was definitely the musical number at the restaurant.

that doctor said trans rights !!

Les Misérables - 25th Anniversary in Concert

    i miss live theater :'(

Nick Jonas isn't great as Marius, and the concert staging takes away from the emotional impact in some scenes, but other than that a great production with a phenomenal cast.
