i love movies, but don’t read my dumb reviews xx
i hadn’t seen this film in a while but i always claimed it was one of my favourites. after rewatching it for the first time, i fell in love with it all over again.
the opening and closing shots matching is perfect, the parallels drawn through actions in scene changes are ingenious, the way the story is portrayed and paced - stepping from nicks world into the reality created by amy through the shot of her in the car perfectly introduces the audience to her sociopathic personality. it’s a beautiful film with a beautiful score and fucked up undertones and i love it.
