I make things so clowns don't eat me.
I'm morally opposed to ratings.
I don't really rate movies on here. I don't believe in it. But I thought it was important to make some notes on this one. The filmmakers are clearly talented at making suspenseful movies. The actors are good at acting in suspenseful movies. This is basically a hair-thin demo reel of "exciting situations" exploiting the near-universal, innate aversion to seeing kids harmed. In and of itself, that is fine, and clearly a lot of people find that to be sufficient…
This is an absolutely unsettling, fantastic take on a complex subject. It is hard to say too much without spoiling the experience, but the film is wonderfully split by style and feel to tell the stories of two different worlds that ultimately collide. Really impressive filmmaking, and by far the most visionary and insightful of the Into the Darks that I have seen.
