Scream VI 2023
Escape from New York.
Radio Silence are bending the rules of the Scream franchise in the best ways and I love what they’re doing with this requel series. The new cast is so good and carry this entry with very little reliance on the legacy characters, however I won’t deny that Hayden Panettiere returning as Kirby is a highlight. The New York setting is no gimmick and seeing Ghostface stalk alleys, bodegas, and subways is an exhilarating switch up. Some of the most harrowing, dread-inducing suspense sequences of the series. Scream VI is a blast.

Like watching one of those “What English sounds like to non-English speakers” videos. It looks like a film, it functions like a film, but something about it is just… off. It’s as if an alien with no understanding of context, continuity, or coherency was tasked with making a movie for humans. Excruciating.
