    House of 1000 Corpses had a very specific tone, and whilst not a great film it was at the very least mildly entertaining and somewhat creative.     I have a very special place in my heart for both Ivan Reitman's original Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989). I grew up with both films, and they remain just as joyful and entertaining as they were when I was young; in fact, even more so.     It’s not like the Shaw Brothers never allowed extreme exploitive violence in their films, but The Bells of Death is a different beast all together. Beginning with a nasty sequence of murder and kidnapping, Feng Yueh’s striking feature moves at such a brisk pace, that the film is over as quickly as it began.
