What an absolute delight. I had a smile on my face for practically the whole movie, thoroughly enjoying the quick-witted dialogue, John Ritter’s clumsiness, and the all-around enthusiasm of the entire cast. They All Laughed is a comedy with heart and spirit, though not without its moments of sadness. Anguish is absolutely brilliant. The structure of the movie is key to its success, so without revealing much, there is an interesting and amazing turn in the narrative at about the 20-minute mark that changes everything. Watching this movie is a stressful yet intoxicating experience and I loved every second of it!
I really needed to watch something bloody and violent today, and I couldn’t have made a better choice than MAYHEM! The title says it all - it’s fast-paced, frenetic, and a hell of a lot of fun. Yeun and Weaving are beautiful in the two main roles but the whole cast is great (Dallas Roberts I love you). Awesome action and great comedy.
