The Michigan Theater is proud to announce Summer of Studio Ghibli 2023, a cinematic celebration of the magical and imaginative films from the renowned animation studio. Saturdays at 3:30 and Thursdays at 7:30, prepare to be transported into captivating worlds filld with wonder, adventure, and heartwarming stories. The series begins on Saturday, June 17 with the Academy Award-winning masterpiece, Spirited Away.

Each film in the series has been carefully selected based on its ranking on the list, denoted with a # followed by a number in parenthesis.

Screening Rewind: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
We recently screened the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, as part of our Science on Screen series. Science on Screen is an initiative of the Coolidge Corner Theatre with major support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. It was a fantastic experience for all who attended, and we are pleased to have had Dr. Omar Ahmed, Associate Professor of Psychology, Neuroscience & Biomedical Engineering, lead a post-film discussion on memory and the brain.
