A masterpiece!
But the ending is so mean-spirited and really twists the knife! Worse that this cruel fate befalls a well-written, fleshed out female character (those are very rare)
And I get it that's the point, but I've never mustered up the courage to revisit Chinatown - the film that taught me the word "metier
