A footnote. An enjoyable one to be sure, but any power this has feels borrowed from the series itself, directly proportional to how long it's been since you watched it. I can't imagine viewing this directly after finishing the series for the first time.

There's some interesting stuff in the margins about goofy thwarted masculinity and men Having Feelings that ultimately gets undone by Western bravado. Distance is what makes this thing, for better and worse.

For me, at least, it's been long enough.

(Though not so long that I didn't clock the bald cap right away.)

Completely, baldly garbage. So smoothed over by script approvals and producers-who-were-there that it can manage neither a coherent narrative nor competent editing because it is clearly mandated to cram in people barely relevant to any given scene and to say their names out loud as much as possible, give them as much screen time as they demand. The very existence of this film in this state does more to sell what must have been the sheer AGONY of Queen's petty…
