  Made my gf cry and she hates Emma stone and Ryan gosling and musicals so the odds were really stacked against the film, but Chazelle knows how to pull it off. Still awesome upon rewatch for me.

  Ryusuke Hamaguchi is a master of dialogue and character study. The way these three stories had me wanting more from each of them isn’t a bad thing, but a compliment of Hamaguchi’s ability to captivate you with these vignettes of loss and chance. This one will be rattling in my brain for quite sometime.
