The Killer” is technically affluent and narratively an exciting amalgamation of subtlety and controlled aggression. In simpler terms, an intricate character study, an up-close observance of a contract killer, something I haven’t quite seen before!

Now, devoted Fincher fans and casual moviegoers might demonstrate their shock and displeasure as his latest venture will test both their patience and perseverance, especially since this does not abide by the tricks and tropes of a typical David Fincher formulation.

    However, the ones who…

Ever since the public commencement of artificial intelligence and its widespread availability, a sudden influx of tales pertaining to comparable themes has been noticed, which has now breached the space of mainstream movies. I could not be happier, more so when directors like Gareth Edwards take the mantle of illustrating these enthralling narratives involving both human and non-human beings.

The speciality of Mr Edwards is that he never takes the conventional route; he always brings in his own thoughts and…

Finally, there’s an instalment that comes close to, if not exactly matching up to 96’s Original in terms of quality execution and efficient screenwriting.

And the best thing is that It’s not stupid or overly meta just for the sake of it; there’s clear drive and motivation behind the filmmaking, which I adored wholeheartedly.

All the kills are brutal and are presented with a sense of urgency and darkness to them, something I felt worked so well in the film’s favour.

The makers keep on recycling the same shit and then rant about ‘recycling the same shit’ in their own film. Meta reference overload!

Now, did that bother me? Not really

I generally like slashers and love seeing dumb people getting brutally slaughtered on-screen; however, these movies do tend to become predictable after a while, to the point where I could rightly predict the next kill and when that might be coming! And ‘Scream 4’ seemingly suffered from the exact same problem, "predictability."

Other than that, it’s a fun watch.

A Great Man Doesn't Seek to Lead. He's Called to It. And He Answers

Denis Villeneuve's Dune is a cinematic chef-d'oeuvre. From its staggering sets to its awe-inspiring visuals; on the account of the sheer scale of the presentation, it is no less than an extraordinary accomplishment.

Led by Villeneuve's gifted conception with a substantial back-up from his apprentice (Cinematographer) Greig Fraser. Hans Zimmer comes alongside with his yet another piece of perfection; this guy can't do any wrong, can…

You know this was a mistake, yes, an error of judgment from my end. I traveled almost forty miles to watch the first day first show in 3-D, and I did it because I could not have waited any longer, but now it seems all my efforts have gone in vain! I recklessly put all my faith and trust in Bollywood, and into a director whose portfolio thus far, has nothing but coming of age/contemporary love stories, and this is…
