Mike Nevin’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film has quickly become like an old friend to me, always there to comfort me when my world feels like it’s caving in on itself. The solace I find when watching this is unparalleled. The loneliness and tension are all encapsulating, and for 99 minutes, I am out of my own claustrophobic head and inside the sad lives of these doomed 1960s Hong Kong lovers. I am so grateful for Wong, Maggie, Tony, Christopher, and all others involved in the making of this film. My love for it deepens with every watch.
