Typical late 1980s Hong Kong crime drama - slapstick comedy elements, blatant sexism, well chereographed martial arts and some brutal gun fights. Very enjoyable in a trashy kind of way. The highlight has to be the climax which involves Conan Lee in a chainsaw duel and Chow Yun Fat firing his shotgun around corners thanks to a piece of string tied to the trigger.
Still got it after all these years. Not a single note of incidental music throughout the whole film but despite (or possibly because) of this it has some very tense moments. It also has some Hitchcockian shots, which is ironic as evidently Hitchcock saw this and was inspired to make Psycho.
