Dodes'kaden has 7 different storylines set in a poor neighborhood surrounded by a dump. Very little of the outside world is ever seen, only when the young boy who lives in the abandoned Citroen 2CV (which kinda looks like a Volkswagen Beetle) leaves to beg for food, but even then, we only see restaurant workers. It's just so underappreciated, but I really see it as this weird, absurdist exploration of the movie industry, idk it just really resonates in a certain way. Like these weird combination of ideologies, class, and power all contradict in a way that produces a portrait of some relationship that could be applied to other situations, but it's specifically about storytelling. Like idk how to explain it, but kinda seems genius???
