Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell ★★★½

Visually stunning action adaptation of cult anime.
Highly elaborated production design and imaginative setting in futuristic bladerunneresque world.
Scarlett Johansson is just perfect for the role of Major. She has skin colored body armor which gets you under impression she's naked all the time when she's in combat. She's also very believable as the girl soldier with memory loss, playing both sexy warrior and something like a pissed off hooligan boy soldier ready to start a street fight.
It was nice to see Juliette Binoche in it. She adds a class to it.
Takeshi Kitano steals the show. He plays Scarlett's boss, and he speaks Japanese all the time, and he also have a badass action scene.

The only problem I had with it is that the action scenes are too short and not very exciting. And it just needed it to have a proper impact.

Under neon loneliness motorcycle emptiness... You actually have that feeling while watching the movie.
