Sara’s review published on Letterboxd:
I really enjoyed the simplicity of the beginning of this film. When there wasn't a plot and all we knew was that he was a cab driver. When all we saw was a window into the street life and bright lights of New York City. It was an art film to me with the cinematography and music complimenting it perfectly. And then the mood was ruined for me with the unraveling of De Niro's character and his turn to violence. I still appreciate this film for showing how isolation and loneliness can drive a person to the edge. And I would give three stars just for Jodie Foster's sunglasses tbh.
Week 11: A film starring or directed by known lesbian Jodie Foster.
