• Riddick

    Riddick…ulous..ly good!

  • Invasion of the Body Snatchers

    Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Ironically, this was the movie I chose to fall asleep to.

  • Threads

One of the most upsetting films ever made. This was my first re-watch since an initial viewing in my high school social studies class. Something about the invasion of Ukraine brought it back to the forefront of my mind…

  • The French Dispatch

    The French Dispatch

My star rating is temporary because I’m an old man and fell asleep before the end, but I’ll finish this tonight. Unless the last half is drastically different than the first, then I can’t see much changing. I like most of Wes’ films. This is one of them.

  • Primal

Cage is giving it his all, but the film is an obvious tax shelter for foreign investors and not much more than that.

  • Free Guy

    Free Guy

    Not for me.

  • Uncharted

Completely forgettable, but charming in moments. Tom Holland presents himself as an adult about as well as Lindsey Lohan does in Just My Luck.

  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I fell asleep before the end, but I’m still trying to figure out why the filmmakers decided to make the victims gentrifying hipsters who illegally evict Leatherface from his home, or why THAT wasn’t the triggering event to set him on a kill crazy rampage, or why the house wasn’t full of bone furniture and skin lamps, or why the girl who gets in the car accident during Leatherface’s first rampage doesn’t grab the gun from the cop who is…

  • Scream

It was nice to see a new cast run through a fairly standard Scream plot, but the lead actress was bland and got upstaged by everyone she shared a scene with. Also, 2 hours is 30 minutes too long for any of these movies.

In summation, I hope they make a new entry every 2-3 years.

  • Showgirls

    Verhoveen rules.

  • The Nun

    The Nun

The cast is solid, the production design is actually pretty great (until it descends into generic corridors), but the scares suck and the one job of this movie was to spook audiences with a creepy nun.
