Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ★★★★

Batman v Superman ; Dawn of Justice is not your conventional bad guy vs good guy fight. It is about Superman's fight, Batman's rage towards Superman who can destroy our world with a blink on eye and Lex Luthor's madness...

DC universe is very constructed and dark. It has given us one of the best villains in the history of superhero films... But here is a villain who manipulated both Superman and Batman for his own madness and chaos.

I don't know much about Lex Luthor as I have never read anything about Superman, as he has never interested me. But Lex seems like he is a 2.0 version of Joker. Who just wants to see everything burn.

Batman is facing something different. He is not the cool guy who he used to be, he changed into a rage filled knight after watching Superman's fight with Zod. Superman nearly destroyed a city, by throwing fewer punches and thousands were dead. Superman is someone who is just trying to adjust and help. But he is too strong for this world. And someone needs to show him that.

Batman, as we all know is our Dark Knight. He starts to doubt Superman's intentions and wants to bring him down. We also a different characterization of Batman. After 20 years of crime fighting he has changed a little bit. He is having dreams. Bad dreams.

I know why many people are not liking it. This movie starts with lot of promise, shows a strong story. We wait for the epic battle. But the battle is quite bit one sided. Story scatters all over but for me, it was a slowly cooked story which will bring us something that will break the rules for Superhero movies.

Zack Snyder is someone who has a great vision but sometimes in the midst of the visual effects, the storyline of the movie scatters. He starts so strong, with beautiful visuals and structures. I means I don't think he needs to focus that much on the CGI of the movie. He should do whatever he was doing while making Watchmen, Dawn of Dead or even Sucker Punch.

Ben Affleck, I knew he was going to be a good Batman. Because, as Batman has said, It is not important who is underneath the mask Because that can be anyone. The true important role here was Bruce Wayne and Ben Affleck has defined it for me. He is not Christian Bale (who for me will always be Batman/ Bruce Wayne) and I am glad he never tried it to be.

Batman: Twenty years in Gotham. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way? He has the power to wipe out the entire human race. I have to destroy him.

Henry Cavill, I fill bad for him. He is playing a superhero who has I think except for the first Superman, is never got appreciation on the big screen. He is very good as Superman, but I think he should study Clark Kent more. Because as Superman he is everything, but as Clark Kent he has limitations, he should explore that. Zack Snyder should have explore more of that.

Clark Kent: Civil liberties are being trampled on in your city; people living in fear. He thinks he's above the law.

Bruce Wayne: The Daily Planet criticizing those who think they're above the law is a little hypocritical, wouldn't you say? Considering every time your hero saves a cat out of a tree, you write a puff piece editorial about an alien that could burn the whole place down.

Clark Kent: Most of the world doesn't share your opinion, Mr. Wayne.

Bruce Wayne: Maybe it's that Gotham City and me... We just have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns.

But the real winner of this movie was Gal Gadot.... I mean I am fan of hers since I saw her is Fast and Furious series. And she has now got the role of the lifetime as Wonder Woman. I mean she seriously got more whistles and claps that Batman... And she dominates the screen easily. I think she is my second favorite superhero after Batman and even as Diana Prince she is powerful and beautiful. I even forgot there is Amy Adams in the movie. Can't wait for Wonder Woman solo film... She is going to rock the screen.

Bruce Wayne: I've known a few women like you.
Diana Prince: I don't think you've ever known a woman like me.

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was really good. I mean he should have got more screen time. But his performance reminded me of Shah Rukh Khan from Darrr, who seems nice to world but hides a different Persona altogether.

Lex Luthor: If man won't kill God, the Devil will do it!

Amy Adams as Lois Lane is just there for weakness of Superman and sometime trying him to convince what he stands for.

Lois Lane: [touches the S shield] This means something. It's all some people have, it's all that gives them hope.

Lawrence Fishburne plays his part as given. Jeremy Irons is playing himself I think. Diane Lane doesn't have that much to do. Holly Hunter was just the Tea in the blanket.

Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice is a mixed bag of dark, gritty and a search for realization of what these superheroes stand for.

Alfred: That's how it starts. The fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness that turns good men... cruel.
