    definitely different than what i usually watch. another random/blind pick. i enjoyed the natural dialogue and realism that the film went for, and achieved. however, the realism aesthetic caused it to feel overlong and pretentious at times. i appreciated the short runtime, but felt like it could have gotten the same point across in an even shorter span of time. i couldn't tell who we were supposed to identify with, if anyone. i guess the director, sam, but over the…

    the cinematography was amazing. george mackay’s face really drew me in for some reason. did feel like a video game sometimes. was happy to see andrew scott. wasn’t able to feel very connected to the characters, but i still enjoyed the journey and felt tension throughout the film.

    Spider-Man: Far from Home

    I liked Gyllenhaal’s performance. Still love Tom Holland as Spider Man. But nothing felt very fresh or original about this movie. The themes about the public being manipulated are timely, but I felt like the film could have said expanded on that more. The visual effects looked cool. 

    The teen romance genre is more appealing to me than the superhero/action bits, but a lot of it felt cliché. Overall, still an enjoyable watch!
