Boiling Point

Boiling Point ★★★★½

Check out my review here:

Utterly stressful and completely nerve-wracking, Boiling Point is one of the most purely unrelenting tension inducing things since Uncut Gems and then some - it's refreshing to see a one-take stylised movie that doesn't use it for a gimmick and you almost forget it's there, and the film is dripping with authenticity and feels completely, bitterly raw. You completely buy every second and you are completely convinced that every actor has some kind of kitchen/hospitality experience (having just got out of hospitality after spending the last 5 years working in that field in one form or another) - it feels like a film made by people from a working class background and that in itself should be a feat worthy of recognition.
