Four Lives

Four Lives ★★★★

Watched this on Friday, forgot to add it - it's completely damming of the police and entirely hard to watch but essential documentation of the Stephen Port case that it's hard to believe happened so recently - the characters using Facebook just feels so surreal. Unflinching in its cruelness and never once glamorises the murders or Port himself - Four Lives is proof that television can be the 6th estate when it tries and on the back of an excellent year that has included things like Help, the Jodie Comer and Stephen Graham-starrer, Four Lives feels here to stay. What a performance by both Stephen Merchant and Sheridan Smith in this.
