    One of the many problems with Rent is that it valorises raging against the machine as the path for tackling AIDS, which is just inaccurate. Being rebellious and not paying rent isn't what ultimately overcame the AIDS crisis. Protesting for visibility and medical rights were important, and working with established medical, legal and political authorities achieved the success we see today.     A feature length thesis on dating, arguing that you can't claim to want honesty and openness from the first date and then be surprised when all a man wants is your body. Literally. Told through a dark horror-comedy lens in line with Walrus, Get Out, The Voices, Split, 10 Cloverfield Lane and even Human Centipede, it's a witty and tense dissection of the predatory and superficial dating scene.
