    Rounding off a series/trilogy in an appropriate and suitable fashion is always going to be hard, especially when your core players have been shuffled somewhat.

    Whilst it retains some of the joie-de-vivre of the previous 2 films, it feels like a facsimile of a GotG film at times.     Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves


    This was pretty much perfect family fare for us. Exciting enough to hold attention, funny enough to make everyone laugh out loud and just about the right amount of threat/scares to thrill but not overdo it.

    Needless to say, I really enjoyed this one. With no real expectations, this delighted me with how good it actually was. Chris Pine is wonderful, engaging and funny. It's good to see him stretch his comedic chops a bit here and it all worked…

    This feels like an adaptation from an audio drama, with dialogue taking the centre stage and the action and camerawork being kept to a minimum. I struggled to get into the pace of the dialogue to begin with but it does settle down eventually.
    It is all impressively done, however the unfolding of the story left me with a lot to be desired and it felt more like the pilot of a TV series than a feature film, leaving me wanting to dig deeper into it all.
