  Will take Chris Pine’s gentlemanly quips and chin-up respect for fluffy material over Ryan Reynolds’ cynical can-you-believe-people-watch-this-shit meta shtick. Went into this terrified that it’d be two hours of wisecracks at the expense of “nerd stuff” but what relief that Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Co. commit to what’s a rather sweet family adventure. Lot of good in-world too — the Game Night guys kinda just did Game Night again but with stops in Neverwinter. Total confection without much underneath but that can work.
