Man, what a thing this is.

I'd heard the praise, but aside from "Keanu sure does shoot those guys real good," I didn't know what to expect.

Turns out, what they've done here is cook down the small-scale action picture into the most rich, unctuous, silky form possible.

This feels like a classic myth, told in bullets.

There is such economy to the story: King asks Force of Nature to grant him power; FoN agrees, but demands a fee.

MVP of Game Night: Rachel McAdams
    MVP Runner-Up: Rachel McAdams
    MVP 2nd Runner-Up: Rachel McAdams

And so on and so forth until we get to about...

MVP 48th Runner-Up: LaMorne Morris, for the delivery of the line "Man, glass tables are acting _weird_ tonight!"

What a treat this was. Despite my goofing around here, this is a cast full of absolute BALLERS, with McAdams standing head and shoulders above a bunch of pros who fill every moment of this thing…
