Fast, Cheap & Out of Control

Morris seems to veer between the deadly serious (The Thin Red Line, Standard Operating Procedure) and the eccentric (Gates of Heaven, Tabloid). This definitely veers toward the latter, though its four completely-separate-yet-thematically-connected stories posit such questions as the nature of humanity and its evolution from animal instinct, the future of AI (strongly feeling like the present nowadays), and cause-and-effect's clashes with logic. Visually stunning (almost any other filmmaker could not bring such striking beauty to so many dutch angles and hi-speed footage) and Morris' usual interview skills bring out the best and most philosophical thoughts in each of his interviewees.
