It’s so well done that I can’t believe it’s the first film Joe Talbot has directed or Jimmie Fails has starred in. Right now I’m just trying to figure out in what universe Ford V. Ferrari deserve a best picture nomination over this.
This movie has been hyped up to me for awhile as one of the last decades best. I got to be honest, not what I expected. The glacial pacing is powerful, but arduous. The cinematography is incredible and it begs for a repeat viewing I think.
I know this is a generally unpopular opinion, but I actually really like this movie. It has it’s issues and last 45 minutes are a bloated CGI mess, but overall it’s very solid. In spite of the cluster fuck that is the DCEU, it’s a success.
