    Crumb

    ★★★★

This documentary, which tells the story of the cartoonist Crumb, his brothers Max and Charles, may be more enjoyable than tens, if not hundreds, of movies I've seen throughout my life.

No acting skills need to be discussed, no fancy cinematography to be given credit for the vitality of this movie. Just a camera, a good director, and a unique personality are capable of producing amusing content.

The vividness and outrightness of this documentary were certainly two of the most important factors of its success. Also, the solid editing contributed to making it quite gratifying to watch.

Since I first saw this movie, I have been coming up with different conclusions and interpretations of the essence of the story as well as the intricacy of the character. Surprisingly, every single one of those scenarios eventually led to an entirely exceptional and unique piece of art.
