This might be a little long and might contain spoilers.
So I've been meaning to watch this movie for a long time but for some reason didn't, i realized today it was that i have high expectations i didnt wanna be disappointed. After seeing it today i can say i was not, the movie is tender, sweet, gorgeous and really stunning. It really captured me from the first few second and never let me go until the very end and left me with a weird feeling at the end idk if it was empty or fulfilled, empty cause i wanna know what happened next, there are so many questions i want answers to but that isn't the point here that's why i am fulfilled, because of the ending which was phenomenal i really loved how it was about challenging what is expected of someone to do and found it really moving and powerful like how at the end Merab started dancing and expressing himself freely and i was cheering for him, it felt like him finally getting rid of all the rules and everything that is holding him back, it's something i wish i can do and something that is really special and hope one day i be able to achieve it
Speaking of dance the dance sequences are really gorgeous and beautiful and well choreographed.
The actors are phenomenal here and display a wide range of emotion and makes you feel for their characters and what they are going through and their journey. Levan Gelbakhiani and Bachi Valishvili have an amazing chemistry and they really are good here especially Levan his performance is astonishing the scene where he found out that Lariki is getting married i felt like suffocating and watching him act in that scene got me , i also loved the supporting characters especially Ana Javakishvilire as Mary her character is really interesting and plays a huge part in the story.
The director Levan Akin does a phenomenal job telling this story, and he does a fine job in balancing the story and not over dramatize it. I also really loved his direction here and how he uses the camera, the cinematography is gorgeous.
I loved how the relationship was developed slowly which just kept on building up leading to the first moment they touch and you just can't help it but cheer for them.
The long take from when he sits on the bed till be gets out, is just beautiful and haunting and literally got me to tear up and it was really helped by Levan performance.
I really can't find more words to Express how this film affected me after watching it and i am sure it's gonna be stuck with me for a very long time.
