    Hooptober VII #13/31

Slither is intentionally aged to really make you feel like your watching a VHS-era B-movie. Gunn's Troma roots are on full display here and honestly it didn't strike a chord with me. It stays perversely comedic from start to finish but the comedy failed to land for me.

The establishing shot pretty much confirms it's going to be a more community-based, personal film rather than a world-ending one, but even on that front it felt a little…

    Hooptober VII #12/31

I'm a little conflicted on this one. The Evil Dead

    Hooptober VII #9/31

    Music $30,000
    Screenplay $30,000
    Production $50,000
    Fake Blood $200,000
    Cast $60,000

someone who is good at film budgeting please help me budget this. My family is dying.

I don't have anything to say about Evil Dead that hasn't been said already. This shit rules and everything and everybody surrounding its creation as well as success rules. Raimi was 21, man. I love hearing about Bruce getting a 2x4 cracked against his leg for an authentic scream and that despite the low budget, poor conditions, and absolutely inexperienced crew they still had fun filming this. So much genuine passion and shows on screen.
