• The Lion King

    The Lion King

Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan basically earned all 2 and a half of these stars so kudos to them

also i love to think about parents looking up the cast and somehow finding the Eric Andre show and being completely traumatised

  • Parasite

Parasite is like a social satire on steroids and I LOVED it

The most original film I’ve seen in a looong time. It’s so refreshing to see such a unique and creative film in this era of reboots, remakes and live actions; which are all feeling somewhat saturated and redundant at this point 🥴

  • Zodiac

the basement scene is one of the scariest pieces of cinema I’ve ever seen yet.... nothing even fucking HAPPENS

I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this but it is easily now one of my all time favourites. Each and every performance was incredible and captivating as I found myself completely invested from the very first second until the very last. Even after the credits rolled I still wanted more and with a run time of nearly 3…

  • First Man

    First Man

idk if I actually think this deserves 4 stars or if I just have a soft spot for Chazelle since Whiplash is one of my favourite films of all time... buuut First Man is visually stunning and the auditory experience is insane. Even though I still enjoyed it rewatching at home I’m so glad I got to see it in the cinemas when it was released as hearing and seeing it on the big screen was incredible.

The score is just SO GOOD justin hurwitz i love u

  • Reservoir Dogs

    Reservoir Dogs

mr. white and mr. orange is the greatest love story of all time tbh

Dialogue is amazing and the characters are so memorable, so many iconic scenes that stuck with me ever since the very first time watching it; such an good directorial debut.

also what I tell myself as I bullshit my way through any uni presentation ever:

They believe every fucking word ‘cause you’re super cool’

  • Crawl

really made me consider taking up swimming just in case I ever get trapped in the crawl space of a house in Florida during a category 5 hurricane

  • Good Time

    Good Time

“Good Time”, more like: 90 minute panic attack that I throughly enjoyed

For real though, I love this movie with everything in me. The vibrant score and cinematography and Robert Pattison’s phenomenal performance makes me want to rewatch it as soon as it finishes.

Can the Safdie Brothers and Robert Pattinson pull a Scorsese/DeNiro and make movies together forever pls

also the final scene with the track from Iggy Pop gets me every time

Look ahead at a clear sky. Ain’t gonna get there. But it’s a nice dream.”
