Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest ★★★★

Watched this movie faded and it was funny as a mf. In one scene, Jack Sparrow falls several hundred feet onto the ground, uninjured, and THEN a falling, giant pole lands right next to his head and sticks out of the grass, almost killing him -- he is not even a little bit phased. This movie was definitely darker and more violent than the first and that is one of the best things about the movie. I love the tone it goes for, but when Jack Sparrow is literally a Looney Tunes character at times, it doesn't really fit. But it has memorable action, a gorgeous set design and a great sense of adventure which is all you can ask for from these kinds of movies.
