White Sands 1992
I have such a weird relationship with this movie. I first saw a clip of the ending on TV or somewhere, and it was noticeably great so I later watched the rest of the movie expecting to be thoroughly ensorcelled in even more greatness. Much to my consternation/chagrin/befuddlement, I thought the ending (and even the beginning!) were great, but somehow I found the film as a whole disappointing. But for some reason I couldn't shake the vivid memory of those…

Freejack 1992
Quickie Review
In this science fiction action-thriller produced and co-written by Alien & Total Recall scribe Ronald Shusett, stock car racer Alex Furlong (Emilio Estevez) is seemingly killed in a major crash but just before the car crashes and explodes, he's flung into the future year of...2009. His healthy body has been chosen to be sold to Ian McCandless (Anthony Hopkins), the ailing head of a major corporation, but he escapes and chased around in a nightmarish dystopia where he has no… -
The Exorcist III 1990
After watching both the original and legion cuts, and all the extra on the Arrow blu ray, including multiple commentaries and docs, my appreciation and love for this film has climbed higher and i've boosted my rating from a 6 to a 7 or 3 to 3.5 stars.
I see much more of the comedy in it now and both versions give a slightly different slant and spin on the movie and I like elements of both though think I…

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves 1991
I honestly have no time for all those folk who get hung up on this because of the accents and the geographical inaccuracies and so forth, and refuse to take it for what it truly is.
It's a glorious piece of blockbuster entertainment - an unabashed, old school piece of high adventure marshalled by a severely undervalued director who knows how to deliver a majestic action sequence of bombast and beauty; the finale itself is a massive, multilayered piece full… -
Young Guns II 1990
Utterly fantastic, one of my favourite westerns ever to be honest.
Has the great characters and comedy of the first one, but the increase in scope gives it a timeless feel that most westerns have.
Emilio Estevez is so good in this, and really sells the highs and lows of this tale.
It just builds on the first really well, but improves on everything

Stay Tuned 1992
This movie is an absolute delight. It's fun, campy, with a hint of cheese and that's exactly how I like my movies.

True Romance 1993
True romance indeed. A love story like no other. Bonnie and Clyde vibe. Tarantino didn’t direct this one but did the screen play and writing. I think it’s his best work, and by far his most under valued film. This is an absolute must watch, slow start but a gut punch ending. Possibly my favorite on screen love story. Watch it on a rainy day or at 2 am alone.

Major League 1989
The absolute best baseball movie ever made. It literally checks everything off the list. Sound, pacing, editing, directing, great characters, etc. Everything is exactly where it should be and there’s nothing that’s out of place. I suppose young people today would find lots of stuff offensive about this movie (i.e. Charlie Sheen and the racist iconography), which would probably defer them from watching it. It’s a shame because this film is marvelous. I haven’t seen every baseball movie, but I know it’s damn near impossible to find one better than this.

Young Guns 1988
Celebrating its 30th Anniversary on August 12th, 2018...
Rousing, MTV-styled revisionist western casts brothers Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen as well as Brat Pack minor leaguers Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney and Casey Siemaszko as a group of wayward young "Regulators" in the employ of an aspiring British cattle baron whose murder kicks off the infamous Lincoln County War that consumed the New Mexico Territory from 1878 to 1881.
Anchored by Estevez's wild, charismatic turn as the notorious…

The Exorcist III 1990
The only film I've seen to ever to elicit genuine screams of terror from a cinema audience.
And if you know the film.....you know when.

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls 1995
I’m very surprised whenever I see online movie rating sites that bash this movie. It’s really a great comedy, and obviously that’s extraordinarily subjective, but so many scenes and quotes last to this day. Is it the best sequel ever? For me it probably is, since it outdoes and outfunnies its predecessor. I could quote this movie all day. Five stars.

The Last of the Mohicans 1992
They don’t make them like this anymore. The Last of the Mohicans is a fun and heartfelt historical drama that is an amazing piece of art. The soundtrack is some of the best music ever to be put in film and the performances of all of the actors and actresses are phenomenal.
If I had any criticism of this film I would write it. But I don’t. The Last of the Mohicans is a masterpiece.
