I am SO glad that YouTube and the internet in its current form did not exist when I was a teenager in the early 2000's. Rereading my LiveJournal is bad enough. The pace was very slow and it is not a horror movie in the traditional sense if that's what you are expecting. Instead it is an extremely unsettling, intimate portrait of teenage loneliness, capturing the innate desire to be a part of something, be seen, and connect with others who feel similarly. This had me wondering where some of my internet friends ended up after MSN messenger shut down and we fell out of touch.

Very surreal. I wasn't completely sure where this was taking me, but it was incredible to watch all of Gerard's unhinged visions come together near the end. Don't you just hate it when you're in a tomb being blown by the boyfriend of the woman you're having an affair with, and you notice that said tomb houses the ashes of her three dead husbands? A real deflated balloon situaish. I love a bisexual thriller, what can I say!

Bigfoot just wants to fuck, but he too strong!

Note: I wrote this before I fell asleep and missed the gratuitous Bigfoot rape scene that includes an extreme closeup on his O-face. My partner showed me in the morning and I wish that I could scrub it from my brain.

An absolutely vile and deeply uncomfortable watch. It took me back to being the terrified teenage babysitter of an inappropriate young boy; being responsible for him, yet wanting nothing more than to leave.

Luke is a sentient r/mensrights post who spends the entire movie terrorizing people with zero consequences because he misses Mommy's hugs. I wanted to see him demolished and I got absolutely nothing. Zero payoff. Just this incel twerp "winning".
